Our Story

SOLOPUTRI Indonesia is artisanal textile made with love by Indonesian local artisan. We produce whole-hearted high quality textiles natural indigo dyed. Started the company in November 22^nd 2017.

To produce pattern we use the art of folding, stitching and binding, followed by dyeing it in natural fabric dye. The technique is well known in Indonesia as Jumputan (Java), Sasirangan (Kalimantan), Cinde (Palembang) and Shibori (Japan) or Tie Dye (USA) We combine this technique with Indonesian culture such as Batik Pattern (Kawung, Truntum, Mega Mendung, Parang, etc) and other Indonesian symbol (Javanese Gunungan and Borobudur)

The Philosophy of Our Logo

Inspired by the name of a little girl from Solo who loved to learn all about the Indonesian cultural beauty especially in Wastra or Indonesian textile.

SOLO : A city in Indonesia known as Cultural City. PUTRI : A daughter

We hope that the love of Indonesian culture will spread and continues through generations, like the philosophy of Batik Truntum.

BLUE COLOR :
Blue represent Indonesia as an archipelago, the beauty of the sky and the sea. Blue color comes from Indigo natural dye.

NUMBER OF STRIPS :

Soloputri founded in November 22nd, it is shown in the total strips 11.22. The strips also means that all of the products are manually crafted by heart.
